Digital competencies of teachers of the Professional Academic School of Nursing of the UniversidadNacional de Cajamarca, 2021

The objective was to determine the level of digital competencies of teachers at the Professional Academic School of Nursing, National University of Cajamarca, 2021. Non-experimental, transversal, descriptive design, quantitative approach. Sample: 52 professionals. The information was collected through a survey and a questionnaire structured in three parts: Introduction, biological and social characteristics and 25 questions of digital competencies in their dimensions: Information and information literacy, communication and collaboration, creation of digital content, security and problem solving (9), with answers always, sometimes and never. In the evaluation, levels were considered: high for answers always, medium sometimes and low never. Results: Biological and social characteristics of the professionals, 84.6% are women, an equal percentage are 51 or older; 82.70% have 16 or more years of teaching experience, 90.4% received internal training and 79.2% external training; and 23.1% received 6-10 trainings. Regarding the dimensions: information and information literacy are always done by 60%, medium 39.24%; in communication and collaboration 75.5%, 19.9% do it sometimes, 5.74% never; creation of digital content 50.38% always create, sometimes 29.56% and 19.34% never; in security 42.66% always take digital security into account, 47.64% sometimes and never 9.6%; In the problem-solving dimension, 48.84% always solve internal and external computer problems, 42.68% sometimes and 8.44% never. The digital skills of teachers are at a high level 55.32%, medium 36.15% and low 8.53%.
