Burnout syndrome and obstetric violence in obstetricians of the integrated health network Cajamarca, 2022

Objective: determine the relationship between Burnout syndrome and obstetric violence in obstetricians who work at the Tulpuna, Ba˜nos del Inca and Pachacutec Health Centers and at the Sim´on Bol´ıvar Hospital of the Cajamarca 2022 Integrated Health Network. Material and methods: Non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational study, developed in a sample of 62 obstetricians, the techniques were survey and direct observation. Results: 8.1% of obstetricians presented Burnout syndrome, and 24.2% committed acts of obstetric violence, 35.5% were between 40 - 49 years of age, 88.1% women, 40.3% married, 75.8% appointed, 37.53% had 11 to 20 years of service, 53.2% were not satisfied with their remuneration. The dimension of Burnout syndrome most affected was low personal achievement (45.2%). The dimension of obstetric violence: dehumanized treatment was present in 19.4%. Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between Burnout syndrome and obstetric violence in obstetricians of the Cajamarca Integrated Health Network.
