This descriptive study examined the proportion of research papers presented and defended by students of the Graduate Unit of the Faculty of Economic, Accounting, and Administrative Sciences at the National University of Cajamarca, enrolled between 2012 and 2018. Using analysis-synthesis and descriptive methods, annual data were processed without manipulation. Research from five master's programs and one doctoral program was scrutinized, assessing the admission of 794 students during the period and the development of 96 investigations concluded with thesis defense. The findings revealed that only 12% of students admitted between 2012 and 2018 completed the training process in their respective programs. Furthermore, 85% of the research aligned with the areas and research lines of each master's and doctoral program, emphasizing the individuality in the themes addressed by the students.
