Domain Reduction Method Applications
Keywords:

The applications of the Domain Reduced Method (MDR), for its acronym in English, present examples of analysis of complex structural systems such as buildings including soil-structure interaction, buried structures, such as tunnels. Using a similar methodology, more complex structural systems can be analyzed such as: pipes, cisterns, etc.; support structures, such as retaining walls, slope stability, among others. This method was investigated by Jacobo Bielak and others in 2003 at Carnege Melon University in New York in the United States. At present, intensive research is being carried out to expand applications or improve others.
